Why You Should Become a KCDP Member:

Join the Kalamazoo County Democratic Party and connect with people who share your values and beliefs. By becoming a member, you will:

- Build relationships with others in our community who are passionate about progressive values.- Engage with local elected officials regularly, gaining insight into the issues that matter most to Kalamazoo and having your voice heard.- Be the first to hear about Democratic events and initiatives happening in Kalamazoo County and beyond.- Volunteer with candidates and elected officials, getting firsthand experience in political advocacy and campaigns.- Support the KCDP's efforts to elect local candidates who reflect our community's values.- Play a vital role in defending democracy, even in off-election years.

Looking to make an even bigger impact? Become a KCDP County Committee member and take an active role in shaping the future of Kalamazoo's political landscape. As a County Committee member, you'll:

- Have voting status within the KCDP, influencing key decisions.- Participate in the endorsement process, having a direct say in which candidates the KCDP supports.- Vote on initiatives that will shape the future of Kalamazoo County's political strategy.

How to Become a County Committee Member:

To become a County Committee member, you must first be a member of both the KCDP and the Michigan Democratic Party (MDP). You can then be nominated by a current CC member for your membership at a Third Thursday Committee Meeting. County Committee Members are expected to contribute annually to the party by volunteering a minimum of 10 hours or donating a minimum of $100.

General Meetings

Our general membership meetings are the Third Thursday of every month at 6:30pm.

These general County Committee meetings are held at Rugger's Up and Under, 711 W Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 and over Zoom.
