The current Kalamazoo County Democratic Party was organized in 1977 and has been active ever since.

Our party and its people have been instrumental in delivering Kalamazoo County to the Democratic candidate in every presidential election since 1992. In 2024, we were one of the bluest counties in Michigan for both the Presidential and U.S. Senate elections.
