Are you looking to make an even more significant impact? Become a KCDP County Committee member and actively shape the future of Kalamazoo's political landscape. As a County Committee member, you'll:

  • Have voting status within the KCDP, influencing key decisions.

  • Participate in the endorsement process, having a direct say in which candidates the KCDP supports.

  • Vote on initiatives that will shape the future of Kalamazoo County's political strategy.

How to become a County Committee Member:

To become a County Committee (CC) member, you must first be a member of both the KCDP and the Michigan Democratic Party (MDP). A current CC member can then nominate you for your membership at a Third Wednesday Committee Meeting. County Committee Members are expected to contribute annually to the party by volunteering a minimum of 10 hours or donating a minimum of $100.

An impactful way members contribute to the KCDP is by volunteering to join a committee. Committees are an integral part of the organization and crucial for its effective functioning. Our many committees ensure efficiency by allowing members with specialized knowledge and interests to support the KDCP and provide input and diverse perspectives on policy, procedures, outreach, and much more.
