Voting Information

● If you move to a new city or township, you must re-register
● If you are in jail, awaiting arraignment or trial, you may register to vote
● Voters may register to vote up to and on Election Day
● You have the right to cast a straight-ticket vote
● If you do not have your photo ID, you can still vote by signing an affidavit

● All Michigan voters have the right to vote absentee for any reason
● Under MI law, it is a felony for any unauthorized person to return or offer to return a absentee ballot
● Before returning your absentee ballot, make sure to sign the back
● Ballots that arrive after 8pm on election day are not counted

At least 18 years of age (at the time of voting) - Fill out application
Complete the voter registration application online or using the paper form
- Return application
Mail or drop off your application to your local clerk’s office
- Clerk sends your voter card
You will receive a card showing you where to cast your ballot
