Kalamazoo Canvass results show Alfonso looking good for November 2022 ballot.

The results have been sent to the State of Michigan Board of State Canvassers for final certification. They will make the final determination. Their next meeting is scheduled for August 19 2022.

The formula requires the Board of State Canvassers to determine both the exact number of votes that Alfonso received as well as the exact number of votes needed from portions of six counties in the new US District 4. Much, but not all, of Kalamazoo County is in District 4. The rest of the county is in District 5.

Please note that the difference between the total number of write-in votes and those for Alfonso result from filling in the oval but writing in no name, writing in other people’s names, illegibility and other factors.
