Tracy has been a college educator for 15 years, teaching political science, sociology, and gender and women’s studies. She is currently Chairperson of the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners. She has served on many county, advisory and community boards, including the Kalamazoo County Public Housing Commission, the Kalamazoo Area Transportation Study, Discover Kalamazoo, CARES, Out Front, and the YWCA Nominating Committee.
She is a proponent of accessible, quality education to meet the needs of work force development for the 21st century. She will address chronic homelessness, protect affordable housing, and favors amending the Elliot Larson Civil Rights Act to include gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation. She will work to guarantee a safe and clean environment, collaborating with communities and business leaders on finding and implementing solutions for the climate crisis we are facing. Tracy supports shutting down Enbridge Line 5.
