Welcome to our e-newsletter! Our goal is to make it easy for you to be as involved in the KCDP as you want to be. This update will hit your inbox every week or so.
We promise to keep our emails short and sweet, which will be tough, because your local Democrats have a lot going on! And we’ll be getting even busier in the months ahead.
Keep reading for a rundown on recent events and a heads-up on what’s coming up soon.
All the best,
Jake Andrews, Chair
Kalamazoo County Democratic Party
What we’ve been up to
On June 8th we had an incredible time in downtown Kalamazoo! KCDP was at the Doo Dah Parade in the morning and at Kalamazoo Pride in the evening.
This year’s Doo Dah theme was “Life is Electrifying.” Our volunteers proved that democracy is striking back with a Wave of Blue Lightning!
After the parade, the sun lit up every rainbow at Pride. It was a great day for inclusion and democratic ideals in Kalamazoo. We hope you can join us next year!

Meet your editor
Hello! After the 2018 election, I started to look for a way to get involved with the local Democrats, and…you’re reading it! Of the many newsletters I’ve edited, this one feels most important. Really important. We must be organized, strong and united as we head into 2020.
Toward that goal, these updates will help our community of local Democrats—especially newcomers like me—get and stay connected. We hope you’ll forward this email to a friend who might like to hear what your KCDP is up to.
Content suggestions are welcome! Use the email below to send them my way.
