KALAMAZOO -- Nancy Crowell, of Kalamazoo, should be pretty easy to spot on the floor of this week's Democratic National Convention in Denver.

She'll be the 73-year-old woman in the crowd wearing the "Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo'' T-shirt.

Crowell, who describes herself as a lifelong Democrat -- except for the time she voted for former Republican Gov. William Milliken -- is making her first trek to the party's national convention as a 6th Congressional District delegate pledged to Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Mark Miller, 52, a November Democratic candidate for Kalamazoo Township trustee, goes to Denver as an officially "uncommitted'' delegate. But he expects to be released to cast his vote for Sen. Barack Obama. Miller says he has been an Obama supporter since February 2007.
