THE KALAMAZOO PUBLIC LIBRARY NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT!
VOTE YES TO RENEW KPL'S MILLAGE.
Voters first approved this millage in 1990. Their investment created an award-winning library that has become a civic necessity and a transforming force in the community.
People of all ages are realizing how much the library offers and helps them, especially in these rough economic times.
WHAT?: Vote YES to renew KPL's current operating millage at the same rate for another 20 years at an average cost of 50 cents per dat.
WHEN AND WHERE?: May 5, 2009 at your regular polling place for school elections.
WHY?: To sustain the great library services that inform and help us, educate and entertain us, and enrich our lives.
WHAT IF?: Failure to renew would cause significant cuts in staff, materials, services, and bulidings.
